HVAC Technician

Requirements for consideration include:

Any combination equivalent to: Graduation from high school supplemented by completion of a State-approved apprenticeship program in the HVAC trade and three years of journey-level experience in the HVAC and refrigerant trade.

Valid California Driver's License and a current K-4 DMV report with California seal (printed within 7 days of application date).

Valid EPA Refrigerant and Reclamation certification.

Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and heating equipment.

Knowledge of building and other codes, policies, regulations and guidelines related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Knowledge of proper use of refrigerant recovery equipment and safe disposal of refrigerant containers.

Knowledge of appropriate safety precautions and procedures.

Knowledge of technical aspects of field of specialty.

Ability to perform journey-level repair, maintenance and installation of ventilation, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Ability to work from blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and diagrams.

Ability to operate, adjust and service specialized equipment used in the basic trade.

Ability to apply safety standards and procedures.

Ability to perform heavy physical labor.

Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment utilized in the HVAC and refrigeration trade.

• Certification (Valid EPA Refrigerant and Reclamation Certification)
• DMV Printout (Current and complete K-4 DMV report with state of California Seal (printed within seven days of application date) We will not accept internet printouts. Original will be required at time of hire.)
• Driver's License Copy (Copy of valid class C California Driver's License)
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (2 signed letters of recommendation dated within 1 year of application (typed signatures will not be accepted))
• Resume (Resume indicating abilities and experiences relating to the position)
