At our organization, robust financial integrity and thorough compliance are the foundation of long-term operational success. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-Charge Bookkeeper to take complete ownership of our accounting, payroll, and routine tax operations. Leveraging hands-on expertise with ADP, you will uphold uncompromising accuracy across our ledgers, streamline employee payroll and tax filings, and translate raw financial data into clear, actionable reporting that empowers executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Financial Ownership: Oversee end-to-end accounting processes, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and monthly bank reconciliations.
ADP Payroll & Tax Administration: Manage full-process payroll administration through the ADP platform, ensuring accurate wage processing, tax withholdings, benefit deductions, 1099/W-2 management, and timely state/federal tax filings.
Month-End Closing & Compliance: Execute efficient month-end and year-end closes while ensuring strict adherence to GAAP, labor laws, and statutory tax compliance.
Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain comprehensive, auditable tracking systems for company inventory, capital assets, and recurring depreciation schedules.
Reporting & Executive Insights: Synthesize payroll and ledger data into structured financial statements and labor-cost analysis, delivering clear insights directly to executive leadership to guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Proven Track Record: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on full-charge bookkeeping experience, including functional knowledge of routine corporate, sales, and payroll tax compliance.
Platform & Software Mastery: Proficiency in the ADP platform (ADP Workforce Now or ADP RUN) for payroll and tax administration, combined with advanced QuickBooks Online skills (2+ years) and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Uncompromising Integrity: Demonstrated history of exercising high professional ethics and absolute discretion when handling sensitive payroll and financial records.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior accounting and payroll experience within small-to-midsize businesses (SMBs) or nonprofit organizations.
Formal tax preparation credentials or ADP Payroll Certification (FPC or CPP).
Bilingual proficiency (conversational or fluent) in Spanish.
